She Hit the Garage Door

Posted on 4 November 2015 under Uncategorized

My neighbor should not be driving anymore. In fact, she should have had her license taken away quite a while ago. She is almost 90 years old, and she is starting to show her age in everything she does. She lives on her own, but her daughter comes and sees her every day to make sure she is okay. When she came yesterday, it was because I had called her. I told her she needed to contact GL Garage Door Services again because her mother had hit her garage door when she pulling into the garage bay.

I think she had intended to stop while in the driveway, but she must have hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes. She hit the garage door pretty good, and there was nothing I could do to fix it, though I did try. It looked like she would need a new garage door put in, and I hoped that this would also convince her daughter that she needed to take away her mother’s car keys. Her daughter asked me if I would contact the garage door company, which I did. They were able to come out yesterday, which I thought was pretty amazing, considering that it was not early when I had called them.

They took one look at the garage door and agreed that it was going to need to be replaced. They were out first thing this morning putting a new one in, and it was installed in no time. Looking at the garage doors, the two match perfectly. I have never had a need for a garage door repair company for my own garage, but these are the ones I am calling should I need that service. As for my neighbor, her daughter just left my house. She thanked me for helping with the garage door, and she also told me that she has taken away her mother’s car keys.
